Counselling in Primary Schools

This is a programme to support children in low decile primary schools with a focus on those showing signs of anxiety and behaviours that are disruptive to themselves, their classmates and teacher.

The counsellor works with up to 6 children in each group, over a 6 week period.

Parents/caregivers are involved with the initial meeting and are then provided with information and tips throughout the group work so that they can reinforce the learnings at home.
