After completing my Teacher training in Hamilton I taught in Cambridge for a few years and in 1976 moved with my husband to Tauranga. While our 3 daughters were young I commenced further study completing a number of short term courses at the BOP Polytechnic and then in 1989 completed the Advanced Certificate in Community Counselling. In 1990 I started in private practice after becoming a full member of NZAC and also ACC approved. In 2004 I completed a Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychology. I continue to be in private practice and I work from Otumoetai Health Centre.
I am also trained in Clinical Supervision and supervise some counsellors in agency work and also some in private practice. I was involved in helping start the Diploma of Counselling and the Bachelor of Counselling Courses at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute and was a part time lecturer there for a number of years.
I work with children, adolescents and adults who have a wide range of issues. In my leisure time I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, reading and walking.
