Gloria Selkirk is a career consultant and personal counselor.
As a personal counselor she specialises in EAP work. EAP clients are people in employment who bring a wide range of problems to a session for example conflict in the office or at home; loss of motivation; personal stress. Gloria also works very successfully with people who are suffering from mild or moderate depression.
As a career consultant Gloria assists clients with professional advice and support helping them to identify their ideal careers or to examine how they might make more of the careers they are in. Clients include people who need to make job changes for one reason or another or those who need to make minor adjustments. Gloria has had 16 years progressive experience working with people making career choices and life-style changes in her private practice as a career consultant; Polytechnic and University settings and inside businesses. She has had five years working as a personal counselor in University, school and private practice settings
Her clients are drawn from a wide range of sectors for example: media, banking, social services; education; retail and construction industries.
Gloria is a professional member of the Career Practitioners Association of New Zealand and a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. She holds a Masters degree in Counselling and several advanced teaching qualifications. She has completed the Myers Briggs Type Indicator Qualifying Programme and is regularly updating her skills in professional development programmes.
